‘In her project ‘Columbarium (Tribute to the Soviet Underground)’, Ilmira Bolotyan places flowers and other undertaker’s properties into the frames that resemble backboards of the canvases. The series is the artist’s answer to the underground culture of the last decades, where each niche metaphorizes disguised values of the alternative cultural movement.
